The exhibition is arranged on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights.
On the last day of the conference “Criminal Policy and
Prison Reform – New Approaches”, the 8th of December, the exhibition “Human Being and Prison” starts and lasts until the 20th of
December. The exhibition displays documents, photos, paintings, handicrafts of prisoners,
books and other works, discovering the prison world of Russia (with retrospective review)
and its inhabitants, criminal executive system with its problems and difficulties, the
activity of non-governmental organizations, good practices in Russia and other countries
in the sphere of criminal policy, judicial and prison reforms.
